Had an interesting conversation with some coworkers, where we discussed if it was actually our job to teach students about racism/oppression embedded within our field if the class is not actually about that.

Is it fair to the students who sign up for a class thinking it is what the description is and then are tasked with having discussions on bias in our field? Especially when most of us are white and many of them are not
