I’m opposed to blanket bans on “sports and politics” & “pop culture and politics” takes, but I would be more opposed to them if most such takes weren’t dashed-off thumbsuckers, lorem ipsum lurking beneath clickbait HEDs, displaying deep knowledge of neither politics nor sports

That said, another website or series of websites drifting toward Salon-hood is one more canary in a coal mine (how many need to expire?) for an entire industry (small though it is in relative numbers) that fortunately now furnishes only my “fun money”
