this is a fascinating tale. these "conversion stories" -- canceled man begins eating meat, begins espousing a new brand of rhetoric, etc. -- will never cease to interest me. if it's about working, putting meat on the table, such conversion stories should surprise no one.

i remember when male feminist hugo schwyzer "re-branded" by writing tales of getting on grindr and performing various sex acts on younger men. it was a strange re-branding, and didn't seem to take. that ship had sailed, i suppose. i wonder if those essays were even true
