Our generation has been trained to expect the firings, it seems. I freelance at this point mainly as a “hedge” against that, stockpiling money while “still employed” ... a “backup plan”
In terms of managing others, we built a system. I will never call you without a notice, and I’ll never call on weekend. I will not answer an email on a weekend. I don’t text coworkers about work. And I always advocate for ppl to set working hours out clearly straight away.
