Vice says Luckey is alt-right, then lists a bunch of tweets he "liked" on Twitter, but I don't see any of them by actual alt right people. Mike Cernovich is alt lite, not right, ditto Paul Jos. Watson.

For sure. I think some of them went by the alt-right label pre-December 2016 since there was a little more cohesion between the alt-lite/right before heilgate and the Cernovich/Baked Alaska fallout
