I’ve always been fascinated by these people. I suppose I’ve been on the periphery of their circles, but actually engaging them in conversation — all fact reciting, limited to no analysis — is exhausting

Within most Nerd Trivia Fandom circles, there is a “king” or “alpha” nerd who corrects factual errors & makes ex cathedra proclamations, overriding comments from others. These kings frequently comment on articles to “correct” them by saying what the article they didn’t read says
