BuzzFeed’s tortured apologia carving out a “cancel culture” exception for It’s Always Sunny is Take Writing at its finest. Either watch this show or don’t. If you worry that your friends might need a thesis about why you still watch it, you either need new friends or a new show.
Or a new job, because there are better ways to earn a few hundred bucks (freelancer) or the mid-five figures (staff writer).
The things I dislike are dead to me. I have no takes on them whatsoever. Dota 2? Hasn’t existed since I last played it in 2014. Overwatch? Same, but 2017. Comic book movies? Never watched them, but they tell me I resemble the new CGI Glasses Hulk so that’s nice, I guess.
So your recent comments make me think of this Today Show segment (sadly not online) in which Katie Couric interviewed Bobcat Goldthwait & a clown representing a professional org that was allegedly upset by "Shakes the Clown". It was clearly meant as a bit of put on but then..
Katie tries for substance for some reason, she says something along the lines of "if we can be serious for a moment..." And Bobcat says, "Katie, Katie, Katie...you are talking to me and a clown about getting serious. You need to rethink your life choices."
