meanwhile I get asked by the Atlantic and other places to write things that end up being "it's not maga...it's complicated like most things are complicated...most people are not really in one extremely online camp or another...they just want likes on their thirst pics" takes
the strangest thing about the explosion of the "it's maga" coverage in 2016 was how many millennial media writers were "cybering" on Twitter with a handful of anime avatar accounts ("reporting") or emailing tips/hateful gossip to people like Milo (as the Broadly editor did)
