There I'm free of editorial interference or the need to write specific things to drive traffic. But that work has found an audience

Yeah absolutely that's a great point. You get the editorial freedom to write about things really interesting things that you know a lot about which is really cool. Also, since you mentioned Vice in the piece, what was it like doing the MSNBC appearance after the McMahon story?

They sent me down to some remote studio in an Uber. It was an uncomfortable filming experience. I had already made a TV documentary and done other work, but this was nothing like that. I was plopped down in front of a single camera and talked into it. Not my fave format

NPR and the BBC were both much better in terms of production values, covering the content, etc.

Nice, that's awesome, I've seen this Ride channel flipping through things before. I'll check it out

Yeah, this is some real channel filler, but it’s my handiwork

Haha it's really interesting though, especially the development of the feral horses in the US. I didn't realize there were any these days

Oh yeah, I knew very little about any of this until I had to piece it together with some local Texas - area resources (and myself)

Interesting, it came together really well though. I could definitely see you being one of those guys they interview in a wrestling 30for30 too

I’d be happy to do that, for sure. My dream is to be interviewed on site in my basement, talking while I’m pumping iron.
