if you work from home, you can pretty much just sit on the toilet all day and go whenever, as long as you've got your laptop handy

school has started again and that reminds me of all these kids who would refuse to go to the bathroom for days at a time, scared shitless by parents who feared contamination or by bullies who were looking to pants and redeye them. meanwhile i just walked out of class whenever

my dad's only real bit of advice to me as i prepared to go to first grade was "just go to the bathroom whenever you want and if they stop you just shit in your shorts"

both of my parents thought that kids should go to the bathroom and get water whenever they want, not on some schoolteacher's schedule
