Boone = 20,000 residents and 20,000 college students. Even though nearest city is Hickory, about an hour, I would not even call this place that rural. I mean...we have Chick Fil A, two Bojangles, and five Subways.
Lots of brewpubs too... enough brewpubs to put Pittsburgh Doug’s favorite spots to shame
