fwiw...bi people are still bi, whoever they marry. Coming out about it is still difficult and meaningful, imo. Pretty different from claiming native identity when you're not native which is morally wrong. I mean,that article is dumb, but not for acknowledging that bi ppl are bi.
with some of these celebrity disclosures, you're left wondering how much is just packaging to stay with the times. of course the urge is to provide the benefit of the doubt, but doing so for them may adversely impact the lived experience for others for whom the status means more

I really don't think that's how it works in this case. Bi people have a long history of being erased from queer communities. There are a lot of bi people who are in relationships that look heterosexual, many fo them are closeted.
