If your go-to reply to an argument is to tell people to "do the work" and then linking them to the Amazon page of some bestselling but lightweight nonfiction book or a thumbsucking hot take, you are "doing the work" I guess

I never thought that "doing the work" would concern pretending to read books (no one reads anything, folks, hate to break it to ya) or sharing takes, but here we are. I will never take that advice, alas, because I prefer thinking to "reading"
