I think playing around with these truisms is fun and healthy. It’s important to be able to use critical humor to deconstruct our assumptions and biases.
I know humor is verboten now or ar least "problematic" but as someone who sold "let's rethink the daily show" anti political humor essays back in 2013, I'm thinking we need to acknowledge that playfulness is sometimes an attempt to not hurt others vs a way of hurting them
