I am having a new sofa delivered Thursday. I have never had furniture delivered before, but I opted for the minimum/just bring it inside the door option. What is the appropriate tipping amount? Is $10 to each person too cheap?

10 is more than fine if they’re not going up a million steps.

I'm still confused by the tipping culture in the US.
@Binkenstein and I have had all our furniture delivered and installed by the individual or company hired by the store, and cost is included in it, they set their price.1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
"Self help" to make up for paltry wages

Urgh. What's the minimum wage over there?

In her state? Likely more than mine

Since I'm in a new state, I had to look it up: $10.78 per hour

Honestly, both numbers are disgraceful

Minimum here is $17.50 but that’s in NZD ($11.58 USD) and doesn’t include tips
