hard to say, but given the lobbying power of big business, it's much more likely the wage stays low at the federal level rather than more or less increasing with worker productivity, etc., as it did from 1948 to 1968

that's fine for trades, but what about shitheads like you and me? A jump to $20 an hour to flip burgers isn't going to sit well with my radio corporate master who pays me less than that to write the news.

i'm in HR and doing very well so sorting all that out can only benefit me and the tradespeople whose wages and hours i have to scrutinize
