However: my personal bias is colored by how, in my own experience, those who have taken advantage where at or above my status level. I lend on the presumption of no return and theft & grifting is a symptom of capitalism and any practice in opposition should accept the risk.
Not only accept the risk, but warn others that it has to be endured, like "shrink" in a retail store, while at the same time hopefully discouraged if/as the cause of socialized services begins to win some victories - maybe low level grifters could just relax instead of hustling
Also get argument that if one is going to share & be open, being a good comrade means anticipating risk, i.e. not reusing that password. When I handed out CTA passes during heat wave, didn't use the purchase method that required personal info nor expect folks not to resell them
But as collectivism is largely alien or denigrated in America, my feeling, which may be wrong, is sympathy for those who have bad experiences in order to find a way to keep that from altering their ideology. Because it took me a hella long time to grasp the concept.
