on social media today, i saw grimes' eyeball surgery described as "peak capitalism," someone replying that they're reducing female embodiment to unrefined "class-first" analysis, and a third someone arguing that grimes is like a secretly unwilling feedee forced into transhumanism
the last comment spawned a discussion of the extent to which all of us are coerced/assaulted by every opinion anyone has uttered in our presence throughout our lives, esp if they're more powerful than we are. all of that could = abuse forcing us to act against our interests
and so on and so forth. there was a reply to that, something about "turtles all the way down," and a reply to that reply noting that that metaphor is a cop-out, etc. so very 2019, very legal and very cool
