my favorite fitness influencer story was about that woman who sold "custom diet plans" to her fans/marks but instead of just sending them cut-and-paste nonsense found via google searches decided to send them nothing at all, because she was "super tired and super busy"
failing to deliver on a product that requires zero effort to produce -- that could've been produced simply by paying a hack like me to produce it or plagiarized for no money at all -- takes real chutzpah. "it gets late early nowadays...who has the time?"
Being "tired" or "busy" or both...the best excuse
Especially if you never explain exactly why you are "tired" or "busy" but just keep it vague...existential fatigue of some sort. "I can't make it...I'm busy and tired...it's impossible." "But it's your birthday party!" "I've been having some colds and allergies too"
It's like when I used to tell students "you just have to write your name on your paper and you get an A" and you knew that they never could, that this was impossible...a bridge too far
Who did that? That's even worse than vegans who secretly start eating meat but keep selling their vegan meal plans to their followers.
