I remember when Prince Fielder scored that nude photoshoot in ESPN: The Magazine and I had a mildly viral hot take in which I accused the magazine of ignoring his athletic/pretty privilege. That's what you call taking on the takes 101, you "kids" who are "doing the work"
You can use this line of arguing to undermine any public figure claiming to stand for body positivity...if they're pretty enough to be seen by millions, they're too pretty to serve as an example for their argument
Also as much as all these razors and soaps love body positivity, they sure as hell don't want me to grow some long wizard beard or stop bathing like a hermit or stylite
I want some brand to say it cares about my right to be a filthy bum so much that they are absolving me from ever feeling the need to buy their hygiene products again..."because we care, you don't have to"
