At this point, if you're an editor and not assigning mainstream strength stories to me instead of somebody who has to Google "sets" and "reps," you're making a yuge mistake

Wow that bad, eh? I did it for a few years way back in my military days and had pretty amazing resists. But I get all the arguments against it.

I did it from 2009 to 2012 and still do some things that are part of their programming. But the repetitive weight and powerlifts they program make little sense if the goal is to avoid overuse injuries, particularly to the shoulders

Everyone initially gets a bit of a novice bump from their stuff -- GHDs in particular pull abs to the surface after a long workout, great for photos -- but exactly what you described picks off most people and even sours some on exercise completely
