there are very few things more heteronormative than some woke cishet couple in which both parties are determined to convince you their incredibly straight, conventional (if aesthetically "hip" and "with it") middle-class lives are somehow queer and subversive

I suppose I could claim to be all sorts of things to win "brownie points" in the various status games played on social media by "allies," but I'd prefer to let my outer self stand in as my inner truth (which no one can know, beyond what I claim) as I remain in my lane
