In many cases, this stuff attempts to predict the predictions of others, Family Feud-style. "I'm thinking most people are thinking that the majority of folks are thinking that Biden is the frontrunner"

This stuff surely works mischief on the mind, as when one thinks the predictions have already happened, or takes rumors or "feelings" as stories (so-and-so is "bad" on some issue despite a lack of evidence, this writer who writes about one thing hates all other things, etc.)
