Over the course of three decades, the only unsolicited compliment I have ever given is "they look real strong" or "they look real big." Most of the solicited or fished-for compliments are along those lines, too

Being one of those overly complimentary sweetie pies grossed out both of my parents, so those are the extent of the compliments that passed in my household too
