The competitiveness inherent in hustling these thumb sucking takes, for such low stakes that seem high (I got a cool byline and an agent!) to the players, in a marketplace filled with media kids, some of whom don’t even need money...it is a recipe for awful, pandering thoughts
Destroying your friend through back channel DMs to seize their $50 a piece hot take “job” ... laying them low and “de-platforming” them without laying a hand on them
