Experts lying about their credentials comes as no surprise and doesn't faze me because I grew up around bros who lied about their bench presses and high school athletic glory

I assume that most people who insist that other people make a big show of reading in public don't themselves read books, that people who boast about familial piety are rakes and scoundrels and abusers, that celebrity libertines are either incel or volcel, and so on
