this reminds me. last week got asked if I could spot a dude benching about 285 with suicide grip. didn't know how to warn him against so I said nothing. etiquette on this one?

I've seen plenty of people use it with no accidents, but it's their funeral should something go wrong. I'm about to go bench three sets of five reps at 355 with no spot, though, so what do I know?
