it's entirely possible the "facebook worldview" or the "google worldview" or the "john bolton worldview" or the "amazon worldview" or the "elon musk worldview" or the "twitter The Discourse worldview" are just as evil, and more pernicious by far

i grew up catholic, as some of you have probably already discerned, as well as a loud and unstinting atheist of the sort we all now recognize as deplorable / ignorable, and i thought "organized religion" was the greatest evil until I saw social justice lingo used to sell me pants

and then i realized that, say, josef pieper's "leisure: the basis of culture," which emerged from the catholic milieu, maybe didn't justify all that silliness but it was an epiphenomenon far less commercialized and far more tolerable than starbucks selling me woke-ass beverages
