I'm just waiting for the online sim that lets you play as the leader of some small country that is strategically important to the US, and the goal isn't so much to win as to steal as much money as you can before the US turns on you and you're captured and beheaded
I'd also like to see a fighting game that lets some rich person pay extra to play as Superman or just plain God, and one-shot all the other real life players
Zizek had that wonderful idea to make video games as cutthroat, capitalist, and cruel as possible so we don't retreat to them and ignore reality.
I think that's a good idea, though it would be even more interesting if doing that made them MORE popular. I've always favored R movies to PG13 films for the same reason...the soft laser beam violence of PG13 is the ultimate horror
