You can overcome some early-life disadvantages with excellent PEDs and a tremendous work ethic. That alone will carry you pretty far. But saying someone’s marked from birth to crush standardized tests or hit baseballs is a bit odd. Human agency gets taken out of the equation

And in a sport like powerlifting, which isn’t really crammed with cream of the crop athletes because there isn’t much money in it, anyone in their twenties can become elite (of not necessarily a record-breaking champ) in 3-4 years with the proper drugs, coach, and diet.
