You just need to read five pages of the intro for your "review essay," which is really just ideological axe-grinding of your own, and the rest of the thing is akin to "showing your work" in long division and may not be read by anyone aside from peer reviewers + a harried editor
They really ought to just produce a cover (with some shapes and colors on it) and the name of the press, because that's all any insider will ever ask about ... and outsiders will manhandle the delicate arguments for the sake of the "popular press" (500 pageviews)
