Never even saw the movie. My father was a Burt Lancaster/Rock Hudson/Tyrone Power partisan, and for some reason any discussion of Gone With the Wind was verboten in our household. As was the movie version of the Wizard of Oz, which he despised
He didn't like the makeup and costumes in those films and would go on at length about that, just ranting and raving
