imagine being a true dad (as opposed to an online daddy) and your whole life consists of mowing lawns, controlling the thermostat, getting up at 4am for long vacation drives after bungee cording the luggage on the roof, and staying in the "man cave" on weekends

I got flashbacks to the weird window/shade engineering my dad would do to maximize warm/cool air potential depending on season (we had no AC and old windows)

My dad would cut the ac at 6am each day and if pressed as to why, he would say "the air man giveth and the air man taketh away"

That’s perfect. My dad kept the thermostat so cold in winter that all my friends wouldn’t take off their jackets and scarves if they came over. He said it wasted energy if the heat came on before he got home
