I have never had the time or money to chase “that one beautiful sentence” creative nonfiction/literary fiction people allegedly spending months pursuing. I almost never work past a second draft. But my copy arrives on time and my invoices are flawless.

I like to work, and if the editor doesn’t catch the typo or second use of a certain word, I doubt anyone else will notice or care. And should it ever get collected, I can fix it in “post”

I wish there were more of a market for that, and what market exists consists of a small number of sellers, many of whom never needed the money in the first place.
