Genuine question: Why, of late, have a majority of tweets on my timeline (from both individuals and news orgs) that are otherwise grammatically astute been leaving off periods at the end?

I wasn't even being snarky or superior. Starting to wonder if it's new weird Twitter hack or aesthetic trend. Maybe the inverse of the mystery dot?
