at one point, i was probably lugging around 1000s of t-shirts, maybe more. and all this hoarding began because the only t-shirts @CharlesHBateman and i had in high school were from needham broughton sports teams or his dad's internet business
we never had any t-shirts, so by the time i started collecting free t-shirts (ideally 50/50 cotton-poly or "triblend" since that 100% cotton is akin to steel wool) i couldn't bear to part with a single one, kondo-ism be darned

i had a "Captured! By Robots" band t-shirt i bought when visiting my sister in Berkeley when I was 15 and finally threw it out when I was 32 years old. I know this pain.
