There are so many of these professional opinion-havers and there's just no reason whatsoever to believe a thing they say much less respond to it. Would you get fired up by someone peddling cell phones at a kiosk? No, you'd ignore them, and what they're doing is far more noble

I'm not saying the content I put out there is Library of America-caliber, but you can trust it because a) I don't need the money badly enough to write pandering shit and b) your engagement isn't what sells my work, my relationships with good editors = how I get published
