How are Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben chugging along as corporate mascots in 2019? AJ is a straight-up minstrel show character -- there was a @uvapress book about this subject.
Are those brands so shaky that they'd fade without these characters fronting their packages?

It just seems weird as heck to see walls of these low-dollar products lining supermarket aisles in 2019, as if they were somehow too insignificant and too ubiquitous to address.
