That's absolutely right. A lot of the "discourse" on here is never heard outside of the thick skull that protects the twitterbrain. I've never actually even discussed politics with co-workers or most relatives and have no idea what they might be besides "getting a new porch"
for some reason, people offline often feel compelled to share their deepest-held views with me immediately I would absolutely be sanctioned if not immediately fired if my Twitter feed was linked to me
otoh, if the chief of surgery turned out to be a Q truther I suspect it would not affect his career in the slightest
