I made okay money writing a response to deBoer once, and though I've yet to read a Singal piece, I would respond to one for $200 and up. I wonder how much money has been made selling response pieces to their takes. Do they constitute some kind of mini-takeconomy?

If you're pulling in, let's say, $1000 a year from straight-up deBoer responses, you surely must be ambivalent in your feelings regarding him since he has become part of your livelihood. This is why I stopped writing about Trump, the alt-right, et al. many years ago

"mini-takeconomy" has a flair "take industrial complex" never did even when it was new. Though I'd argue even peak Signal (which we just passed unless he goes full Bell Curve next) pales next to the Oil Sands of Takes for Takes the Nagle/Weiss Reserves.
