Unemployment will remain high as long as mass incarceration exists. #Unions can’t compete with prison #labor. #PrisonReform #Blackmen

As someone who did this for free as a small-town volunteer fire fighter, I can attest that it's hard work, usually during the hottest months

What the bloody hell!!! What do inmates know about fighting fires! Is this our country now paying low, low wages to incarcerated inmates??!!

Our criminal system is a worse criminal than the inmates. Enslaves, imprisons, strips of all rights, feels smugly superior & safe.

Slave labor. These firefighing prisoners are saving lives and property while risking their lives. They deserve better.

Allowing firefighting prisoners (upon their release) to earn a living serving the community gives them the opportunity to regain trust. A meaningful role in society gives non-violent former prisoners a genuine second chance.
