Sport is an industry where team owners ask for public subsidies because they “create jobs,” and then turn around and offer unpaid internships. Unpaid internships are a discriminatory scam.

They saw their first grandchild (my niece) when she was 2 wks old last January, I'm glad they will soon (sometime after 2nd shot, still with precautions) be able to meet her for real (I'm the only one in the fam not vaccinated as partner, brother, and SIL all work in healthcare)

My dad got his first vaccine last week, my Mom yesterday (both over 65). I'm so happy they were both able to get a shot! They've been strict with COVID and haven't seen anyone/gone anywhere in a year. My brother &I live half way across the country so they haven't even seen family

Southern friends, since a lot of you are having extreme cold and power outages: here are some tips for how to stay as comfortable as possible if you have no/inadequate heat or power: *designate one room (bedroom usually) as the warm room * keep the door to it closed

Please remember: just because they say you can (go to a restaurant, gym, whatever) doesn't mean you should. Please, please, please act like we are in the midst of a deadly pandemic (because we are). Rules suck but dead people and overwhelmed hospitals suck more.

Hey Georgia: Let's not do this. It's incredibly discriminatory. it's also denigrating to all athletes - cis and trans - that they could be subject to this. Teens have enough body issues w/out telling them their genitalia may be assessed by strangers in order to play sport
