If a home owner shoots a home invader, it's the home invader's fault.
If a woman shoots a rapist, it's the rapist's fault.
If an Israeli shoots a Hamas invader, it's the Hamas invader's fault.

There are going to be more and less sympathetic situations. But we're each responsible, morally and (usually) legally, for the choices we make. Would you seriously propose that the IDF had no options other than to shoot?

Thousands of people planned & perpetrated the breaching of a secured national border to kill people & break things. That constitutes "war" initiated by "combatants". What would you have the IDF do in the face an attacking enemy?

(a) Not a recognized international border. (b) "To kill people": Your evidence that that's why all 20,000 people were there, please? (c) If this is a "declaration of war", I guess that makes Palestine its own state? (d) What could IDF do? "Not shoot people" would be a great start

a) By right of conquest. There was an agreed-on border, it was breached,
moved it.
b) If you're part of a grenade-throwing mob, you assume liability.
c)
is functionally a state. No other claims sovereignty.
d) Mob crosses your border to arson/rape/murder? Shoot now.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
You say "right of conquest", I hear, "systematic and retroactively legitimated violation of property rights."

"violation of property rights." happy that you're now agreeing with me that taxation is immoral! :)

Hey, I'll see you "taxation is theft" and raise you "property is theft." Go back far enough, and it's all theft of God's green earth.
