Tractor is at 650 hours. Time for another big maintenance. Found that a complete factory filter kit is available at Amazon for $99. SWEET. Saves me dealing with rando firms, or comparing aftermarket parts specs.

This is extremely difficult for me. Because "the right thing to buy" is still the right thing to buy, no matter how much time I waste figuring out what the right thing to buy is.

"We should buy A. It saves $100 over B with no downside, and is totally worth the extra fifty bucks it costs over C. The correct answer is A." You spent $200 figuring that out. "BUT NOW I KNOW!!!"

in theory, I agree with you - don't waste $200 in computation to save $50 In practice, I'll spend the $200 to save $50, then figure that I can leverage that info later by writing a book which I can sell...thus costing me another $20,000 in opportunity cost

...but that's for knowledge, because there's so intrinsic reward to us spergs that comes from knowing that we optimized ...but when it comes to clicking buttons, I'll click the Amazon button as long as the price is < 120% of other places (sometimes < 200 % )
