Got some thinly veiled threats from my soon-to-be former boss. No offers to stay, just insinuations that I may come up short on work when winter comes. Told me any 'lead guy' leaving an hvac company right before June is starting off on the wrong foot.

More or less. He wants me to stay out of fear I won't have much work come winter. Fear is a poor motivator. Money is better.

Yeah, I realized I made the right decision. This solidified it for me.

This is how a coward acts. He waits 3 days after I give notice to say anything to me. Then, it's not in private, it's in the morning while I'm loading up. A man would have said something right away, in his office, and if he wanted me to stay, he would've made an offer then.

Update: turns out after my convo with the boss man today he's not having me finish my notice. They were all sour about me leaving. Well, I'm on my way up. No looking back. New boss said I can start Monday.
