This is a total slaughter. My father was an immigrant. His experience makes it clear that immigrants have *tons* of problems that locals do not. There is room for legitimate debate on the current models. And policy slaughters like this one.https://twitter.com/MorlockP/status/993506396758073344 …

Great comments, thank you. FWIW, I continue to very much in favor of certain kinds of immigration. There are tons of great Indian, Hungarian, Korean, Swedish, Persians out there who'd fit in wonderfully. We should identify them and welcome them. Disaggregation is key though.

Until they invite all their family & friends over, and regression to the mean sets in.

Thing is, you've got plenty of obnoxious idiots locally too. Ideally maybe a passport exchange - let people buy and sell their passports to each other, and let economic competition establish what a given national passport is really worth. Removes all notion of "race" or "nation."

Yep, absolutely interested in ideas like this. C.f. the Icelandic Republic, where people could choose their gothi / tribal adjudicator...and the title of gothi could be bought and sold! Polycentric law (and a competitive market in governance) is a great thing!
