13/ I'm only going to let myself work on this full time for one more week, before switching over to Aristillus (Right and Duty, and Absolute Tyranny). I think I'll hit 400 pages before back-burnering it, but it's going to take 600 total, I bet. Plus pix may be 800. 2 books?

14/ Kind of a sucky day (at least writing wise). 3,803 words (15 pages) written. 78,509 words (314 pp) total. Stills (legality of), still (advice on: "don't"), size of your garden, raised beds (wood vs plastic vs cement), mulching (straw vs poly film vs woven weed barrier)

15/ About 3,000 words so far today. Better than yesterday, but not by a ton. I've picked much of the low-hanging fruit and am now working on things that require more reseearch.

17/ Slow day. today: 4,000 words (16 pp) total: 85,098 words (340 pp) Looks like this 1-month sprint will be < 400 pages, out of 600+ target. Today wrote about garden hoses, flow rates expressed as gallons per minute per dollar and fabric buildings.

I'm fascinated by how you're blurring the line between a how-to book and a memoir.

I'm incredibly conflicted about writing. There's no money in it...at least the way I'm doing it. Others seem to have more success. Somehow think I should continue, but not sure why. Figure I'll take a few stabs at it and then evaluate. Hopefully I won't bleed out before then.

It's a rewarding and enriching hobby (slash passion slash relentlessly driving obsession), like nearly everything else you do. And maybe it turns into a career. Not a bad position to be in by far.
