Raised beds, and greenhouses or mini-box fascimiles thereof. TBQH, I think you should put off vineyards until you have a *bit* more experience with the grapes and winemaking, and given your climate, your grape experiences won't translate well to most other growing zones.

I'm going to cover vineyards at the depth that I know about them (which is to say, while being woefully incomplete, it will still save people ~10 hours of googling). The book is quite honest about the limits of the expertise.

I’d vote greenhouses. I’m interested in efficiency in NH winters and food return on material investment.

I say raised beds and green houses, food>vino. At my house I am planning a U shaped raised bed and putting vertical pipes around the edges so when I overwinter I can put large hoops over the beds and seal it with poly sheeting to make it usable during winter months.
