Okay, but Adam, do you think people who do look carefully at their sperm donor are actually doing something bad? This isn't just a question of hypocrisy, i.e. would you do this; do you think it's wrong at all?

I think that's reasonably consistent but disagree. For what it's worth, I think most people who get donors will also pick the latter. (This isn't worth all that much as it's just argumentum ad populum.)
