Protection, gun club, etc. I just thought that a man with that much foresight and drive was a bit too far out there in insisting on screwing with weapon mods and upgrades in the face of annilation. Especially one already proven effective. Just a small point from a gun nut.

I also tried to convey that Mike had a character flaw where he was screwing around with tech when he should be leaving it alone, and should be organizing - he was fixated on the D series TBMs when war was brewing, designing his own guns, failign to unify the Boardroom Group...

I caught that, and it helps explain the gun thing, but it requires decisiveness to leave earth and go live on the moon. Especially if you’re the first one. Converting ocean ships to space ships was “good enough”. The inconsistency was a bit puzzling.

It wasn't indecisiveness; it was poor prioritization / staying in his comfort zone. I wanted to write a flawed character whose flaws ALMOST undermine him. Your complaint is "he had flaws" ?
